I'm sure it's been around for a few weeks, but today was the first chance I had to really test it.

I gave her a pencil, and put it in her left hand. She made a few scribbles, then switched to her right hand, smiled, and started to "write."

So two left-handed parents have produced two right-handed daughters. I'm a little disappointed about this, I think. But it's her brain telling her what to do, and it's hard to argue with genetics.

I think you've still got a window. Claire's just 1, is she not? Jairus' various therapists (mostly OT's) always told me that handedness doesn't settle until at least 2 or 3 years old.

My dad is right handed and also does sports left. I could never figure that one out....kicking a soccer ball with my left felt so strange...
And apparently my nana (mom's grandma) was left handed but forced right. I've heard that doing that can mess up alot more in your brain than just what hand you write with...
