The commercial:

"Women who eat breakfast like the Special K breakfast way less."

That's what I heard. When I parsed it a bit, I figured they meant to say: "Women who eat breakfast, like the Special K breakfast, weigh less."

I would not be surprised if that commercial backfired on them.

Wow, it took me a couple readthroughs to parse that sentence properly, too.

Heck, I initially thought that 'way' was a typo for 'weigh'!

That's funny! I'm going to use it in my drama classes as an example of the importance of paying close attention to punctuation and pauses in dramatic text.
