I have a scratch on my back. Reaching back to figure out why that spot was itchy, my hand encountered a slightly flaky scab. I got Piet to investigate, and he discovered it was a slightly-infected, inch-long scratch a bit to the left of centre between my shoulder blades.

I don't have the foggiest idea how I acquired it.

We cleaned it, polysporined it, and put a bandage on it.

But it's weird. How does one acquire a scratch in a spot one can barely reach, without being aware of it?

But. . . That usually involves several parallel scratches. . . :)

Ah, but not if it's just one errant sharp nail! Those beasts are tricky *giggles*

Given how deeply I've been sleepy lately, I think I may be sorry I missed the advent of this scratch.

Honestly, though (who needs honesty after a comment string like that?) I think perhaps it was acquired in the course of Elizabeth and I playing. I can't think exactly when, but that's the most likely scenario, unfortunately. :) Your idea is much more fun.

Ah well! The innocent explanation, while the less racy of the two, is the more likely :)
