This is weird.

I have a scratch on my back. Reaching back to figure out why that spot was itchy, my hand encountered a slightly flaky scab. I got Piet to investigate, and he discovered it was a slightly-infected, inch-long scratch a bit to the left of centre between my shoulder blades.

I don't have the foggiest idea how I acquired it.

We cleaned it, polysporined it, and put a bandage on it.

But it's weird. How does one acquire a scratch in a spot one can barely reach, without being aware of it?

Honestly, though (who needs honesty after a comment string like that?) I think perhaps it was acquired in the course of Elizabeth and I playing. I can't think exactly when, but that's the most likely scenario, unfortunately. :) Your idea is much more fun.

Heh... I end up with unexplained bruises and scratches all the time. I think my cats actually sneak up on me while I'm in a deep sleep and claw the hell out of my limbs and back.

Though - and in line with the previous comment thread ;-D - the fang marks are all Frazer. That boy has the largest canines I've ever seen without the person being one of those people who has cosmetic dental work done.

I'd get to blame my husband's inability to breathe, and his need for two boxes of tissues per day, on them, too. :)

I like cats, but not enough to ask Piet to get allergy shots when I realized I'd be the one required to clean up after them. I shouldn't be doing that anyway right now, and no one's ever home at our house, so - no kitties for us.

I've had that happen to me before, usually at night, although it happens sometimes when you have animals in the house too. Never on the back, though, usually the arms or legs for me.
