I just joined Shelfari.
Jul. 20th, 2007 12:28 pmSame username - feel free to add me there. I think a lot of you might like it - you put up on your "shelf" the books you've recently read, and then you can engage in discussions about those books (or, presumably, other books, but I haven't tried that yet.)
It's also possible to link Shelfari to my blog, but I haven't done that yet, and won't until a little glitch is sorted out.
You see, I typed in the ISBN numbers for the two most recent books I've read - my own, and Ursula Vernon's - and neither of them came up. Apparently, to be able to talk about a book, it has to be available on Amazon.
We are not amused, no, not at all.
So I emailed them with all the pertinent information for BOTH books (Ursula can thank me later, if she figures out who did it, or cares.) If it pans out, great - free advertising! If it doesn't, oh well - I tried. :)

mariesue and page_4 - have both received their copies in the mail. That means approximately 30 households out in the great big world currently have a copy of my book in them (that I know of.)
I'd like to see a few zeros after that number - four would make me ecstatic, but I'd really be happy with two - but it's a start.
Now, if you're among the thirty or so households listed - what are you doing on LJ? You have a book to read! *makes shooing motions at you*

Jun. 22nd, 2007 05:17 pmMy book, available online! I am asked to warn you that the copy you get by ordering now may be unproofed, i.e. there may be typos that will be fixed in another edition. But it's up, and you all have the opportunity to support a struggling author!
