I love the sound of car doors slamming outside my house on election day. It means one more person doing their civic duty. I love it even more when more than one door slams, especially if there are children getting out of the car to accompany voting parents. What wonderful modelling of citizenship for kids!

BoyZilla loves it when I go to vote. It means he gets a sticker!

agreed! I've encountered this mentality that "one vote doesn't make a difference" but if everyone had that attitude it would.
and no vote = no right to complain about anything!!!

Over the next few days, my kids are writing letters to the new MPP in our riding, first to congratulate him, and then to ask him to continue to support the idea of electoral reform. Now I get to hammer home the concept that, even if they didn't vote for him, he's still their representative and they have the right to be heard by him.
