That reminds me of the time I was invited to a youth service and my mother made me wear my best dress. Everyone else was in jeans. The horror.

The answer is, God doesn't care what we wear, mommies do.

No, because how we dress reflects how much we respect what we're doing and who we're with. It's the same reason people dress in clean, neat clothes for work - you show that your job matters by how you dress to go to it.

I was being facetious; your reasons are all good reasons, of course. :)

I know. But of all the heretical attitudes that sometimes pop up in the church, that one bugs me more than most. You just managed to push my buttons, is all. :)

"Because He made you a princess, of course."

(Well, at least if she's anything like Amy...)

Oh, of course. :) Elizabeth is more of a princess than I'd like at the moment, so I'm steering away from answers that involve royalty. :)

LOL...I know how that goes. :)

But one up-side to watching a lot of Disney princess movies...Snow White & Cinderella CLEAN! So now she'll "help" with the dishes singing "sing sweet nightingale..." So as long as she has the idea of a princess as someone who happily does housework, I'll keep this going.

That's an advantage I hadn't thought of. :)

Elizabeth has recently learned to use the carpet sweeper. My carpet is cleaner than it's been in months as a result.

Sorry to barge in but...
To continue on this train of thought... after Daddy gave her money for the collection plate and while she was placing in the plate she asked in a rather loud whisper. " What does Jesus need my money for?"
She is her father's daughter. I remember a similar question from him one Sunday. Only he continued on to say "I'll just give it to Dad he counts it anyway"
Love MIL
