So far, there's been shopping, chinese food, more shopping, and one fabulous gourmet chocolate. (Yes, only one. It was probably as many calories as all the chinese food put together, but I limited myself to one.)

Now I have to clean my main floor while the baby sleeps, so that people will have places to sit and we'll have room to make homemade pizza in a couple of hours.

Oh, best gift of the day so far: my favourite capris from last summer, the ones I couldn't get done up two weeks ago? I'm wearing them. :)

Now I have to go next door and pick up the gift that got delivered there while I wasn't home, presumably from Piet. *smooches my husband*

Happy Birthday!
I wouldn't worry about the chocolate. All recent scientific studies point to amazing health benefits. :-) Besides, I wouldn't be so quick to pick chocolate as the culprit as compared to chinese food. Most chinese is filled with cornstarch, starchy rice, deep fried, etc. Certainly not something I'd really care about on your birthday (it's one of my favorite indulgences, I'll admit), but unless you stick to steamed veggies, probably not as good as most people think.

So enjoy your chocolates! Besides, you can get better ones in Canada than we can here. :-)

P.S. If you want to get depressed, here's a scary article on the stats for chinese food, it's a little old, but accurate:

Yes - I can't believe I forgot to post about it! It arrived Friday, and it's wonderful! I'll post about it as soon as I've had five minutes to sit down with it.
