My kids are getting on every last one of my nerves today.

I can't seem to get around my headache long enough to get any work done.

I can't leave until I sort out the peer mediation schedule, which is two weeks overdue already and is my responsibility. The problem is that we need three teams at each recess, two recesses a day, for a five-day week. That's thirty teams. We had 47 sign up. Now I need to figure out a schedule that a) lets them all participate, b) allows for shuffling when some inevitably can't cut it, c) prioritizes the older kids, and d) will not be so hard to manage that it will fall through after a week. The last is the hardest one. I don't want to have to adjust the bulletin board every week all year long. I'd never get around to it, and the result would be chaos.

Any organizational suggestions, here?

Are some of them flexible enough to be floaters for the days when whoever's scheduled can't do their bit? Because if you can wrangle the excess into "sub" positions, it might be easier...

I am not a good organizer, so beyond that I really don't know what to suggest... oh, but do you have MindManager software at school? That program is great for this sort of thing.

I sorted it out so that I have a "lead" team who are on at the same recess every week, and four other teams, two of whom are on one week, two the following week. With a little bit of juggling and a few double-ups so non-lead teams are also on both weeks, I got it so everyone's up on the board. All of this will be adjusted in a month or so anyway, because at least ten pairs will drop out by then. I can't see some of them making a single good decision.
