Claire just took her first unassisted steps - three of them, followed by a plop on her bum just as daddy walked in. So I'm the only one who saw her. I feel so privileged. :)
I remember when my oldest son learned to walk (he's an adult now) -- always careful, he started by holding on the the furniture. A week later we were on a trip to Ottawa, and ended up in a closed shopping mall on a Saturday afternoon. He walked all around the mall that afternoon, trying out the different floor surfaces and patterns. It was a magic day.
