Babies and Air Conditioners

I was comforting my annoyed toddler just now on the green chair in our living room. We don't often sit there for cuddles, but with the couch covered in donated clothing of a six-size range, we really had no choice. (The reason she needed comforting was that she refused to listen when maman told her not to pull clothes out of the piles. So she had a time-out on the stairs. Hence the comfort session after the time out.)
She reached over me, lifted the curtain, and poked at the air conditioner. She managed to turn it on. Then she moved the curtain aside and held it there, her face next to the fan, saying, "wind. Wind," with a big smile on her face.
I have learned two things from this experience.
1) My baby is a smart cookie - but then, I knew that already.
2) It's time to take the air conditioner out before she runs up the hydro bill.
