P.A. Day

Well, the p.a. day is over.

My presentation went well. I got several compliments, including one from the principal. Apparently I looked quite poised, spoke well, and two people asked to photocopy my overheads for their own files. So it's all good.

My literacy block is planned for all of next week, I have made up folders for each child in my lit block and for each reading group, and I have photocopied sections of each guided-reading book to use for running records while the kids read. So I'm ready for about half of each day next week. Except Wednesday, because literacy block is cancelled that day due to the cross-country meet.

Elizabeth is under the weather. That means her nose is running, her eyes are running, and she won't sleep. Last night was not fun. But God (and [livejournal.com profile] sassy_fae) willing, we will still game tonight!

That's my life on this Friday evening. I'm going to get a cup of tea.

You ARE very poised, and good at doing presentations. You might consider working for the board, my dear. :)

I'm glad the presentation went so well -- of course, there was never any doubt it would. I hope Elizabeth feels better, soon. Poor wee bunny. Can you play and cuddle? (I expect to be cuddling through Bond movie night tonight, as well, but obviously that requires far less brain work than what you've got on the agenda!)

It looks like Settlers and pizza instead, so we'll manage some cuddling. The trick is to keep the tiny wooden pieces out of a certain little mouth. :)

I'm glad to hear the presentation went well.

Oh, and I've been meaning to tell you- I really like the new icon. You look quite wonderful. :)

You're from Ypsilanti!

Do you know Dallas Egbert the III? :)

Thanks. [livejournal.com profile] pyat put it up for me when I forgot to log out one day. I didn't even notice for about three days. :)

Glad to hear that the presentation went well, but sorry to hear that Elizabeth isn't feeling well. Hope that she's back to normal soon, and your friends, as well. It seems like the bugs are starting early this year, unfortunately. I suspect that's my cue to get my flu shot soon.

I need to get one this year, too. Working with kids, and with Elizabeth, makes it a priority.

The bugs have certainly begun. I've had two kids off most of the week, though I suspect one of them used one day of legitimate illness to facilitate two days of skipping. That's what I'm told, anyway. This could be a bad year for them around here, with Elizabeth starting playgroup and daycare within the month. Oh, well. She's about old enough that I can start giving her child decongestants. I believe they start around eighteen months.
