My energy just ran out, so it's unlikely my previous spate of productivity was actually nesting instinct. Still, I got a few things done this evening.

I cleaned the toys out of the bins in Elizabeth's room - the ones that are being moved to Claire's room as soon as we've painted it. When that was done, I sorted my diaper collection. The ones for immediate use went into Claire's dresser, and I sorted the others by a system discernable, probably, only to myself, into three bins which are currently in Elizabeth's room. I also separated my Kushies into "fine" and "need repairs," and I further sorted the second into "fixable" and "beyond my skill level." I'm going to offer the latter category - about five diapers - on the Diaper Swapper website as free-for-shipping. If anyone is looking to cloth-diaper on a really, really tight budget, and is handy with a sewing machine or serger or both, these will be a good deal. I won't miss them - it's likely I wouldn't get around to whatever inexpert repairs I could make to them in any reasonable amount of time, anyway, so I might not even use them. Better they go to someone who will.

I also went through Elizabeth's drawers and pulled out all of the "slightly too small" and most of the "heavy winter, fits just right" stuff. These, along with last winter's outgrown size 2 stuff, went into the plastic zip case that her new bedding set came in last weekend. (I love getting new bedding, because those plastic zippered cases are marvelous for storing out-of-season or outgrown clothing.) I didn't quite fill the case, so if she grows out of the few cold-weather clothes still in her drawer before next winter, I have room to stuff them in there. I did leave out a few cold-weather items, because it's not that warm yet and they're good for cool days in the spring and even the summer. Summer clothes take up less room, so there's room in there, and I don't want to have to go digging for stuff on the first cool day in the fall. Her bottom drawer now holds only things that will fit and be seasonable come September/October - all her size four pants, several larger sweaters and turtlenecks, etc, etc. Other than purchasing/acquiring a few pair of shorts, I think we're set for Elizabeth's wardrobe.

And after all that, I'm quite pooped. Daddy and Elizabeth are playing in the bathtub (or rather, Elizabeth is in the tub and daddy is getting squirted as he washes her hair.) My nutrition has been pretty much up-to-scratch today, so I'm feeling better than last night, but we still did a lot today and I'm ready to relax with a good book. I don't know which good book, but I'm sure I'll find something.
