Parents, please help
Aug. 25th, 2004 08:41 pmOkay, have any of you come across a baby or children's shampoo which really is tear-free? I've been using a Johnson's one, with a bit of a moisturizer in it. Water alone doesn't make her cry, but the shampoo does, and I'm getting tired of it. She has a lot of hair, so it's quite a problem.
Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Date: 2004-08-26 01:05 pm (UTC)We recently tried the baptismal hold to try to get the soap out of her hair more easily (usually I rub her hair repeatedly with a wet washcloth to get the soap out, which admittedly takes a while, but it's less likely to result in chaos) -- you can imagine how much fun this is with a wet, soapy, squirming, burly, unwilling toddler! However, it does speed up the process, somewhat. I'm thinking of encouraging her to dump cups of water over her head, since it's the whole water-on-the-head thing that really freaks her out (not at the splash pad, however -- weird).
