singin' the seven o'clock blues

velvetpageElizabeth has been awake and dopey for about forty-five minutes now. She drifted back to sleep briefly, but woke up when I moved. I'm pretty sure she needs a new diaper, and I don't want to change it, since I did that when she woke up. She's lying tummy down with her chin on my shoulder and one foot digging into each him, playing with my hair. I hope she's comfortable, because I'm not.
Oma and Opa are picking her up at 10:25 and taking her to church. I am staying home. I may do some housecleaning, or wash some clothes. I will definitely have a shower. But probably, the most substantial thing I will do is nap. We went to the Dundas Cactus Festival yesterday, but first we went to a lovely little townhouse occupied bysassy_fae and etherlad and met their cats and ferrets. One ferret, Dill, was a big hit. He kept using his whiskers to tickle Elizabeth, who scrunched up her nose and giggled at him. I'm not sure how good the pictures were, but sassy_fae is going to post them. The cats were less sociable but still important. It was, "Hi, ki-y! Ki-y! Ki-y!" as she chased them up the stairs.
At the festival, Elizabeth was given a doll with a broken zipper which she's taken a liking to, and I bought two bead necklaces which hopefully won't give me a rash every time I wear them. One in particular works well with most of my new clothes.
Baby needs breakfast. TTYL!
