Now, I realize as well as anyone that a bedtime is a good and necessary thing for a child. It provides stability. But there's a downside too.

She was asleep by twenty after nine last night, and awake at six o'clock this morning. We've tried putting her back to bed, but she gets cuddly and sleepy without going to sleep. It's twenty to seven, and I think she's up for the day. Darn. Usually this is my time to do stuff without either of them poking in.

Well, you win some, you lose some. We won the sleep battle last night. We can't expect to win the wake-up battle too.

So, she slept right through, once she finally got down? Because if so, that's pretty impressive...

Yes, until 6:00. I think she would have gone back to sleep then, but I had to change her diaper and discovered it was poopy, which is very unusual for her at night. Wet cloths on her bum woke her up, I think. It's now just after 11:00, and she's asleep again. I'm hoping she'll stay down till after 1:00. A nice, long break. . . the only one I'll get until she goes to sleep tonight. (sigh)
