I know. It's amazing how many good writers there are on my friends list. :)

Life's not worth the effort unless you're going to be passionate about what's important to you. I couldn't live without caring about the world around me. It would be boring, and I would feel like a fraud - all these high ideals that i couldn't even be bothered to defend!

So I collect friends who feel the same way about their own issues.

Hmm you've got a very good point there.

I've been mostly a 'wannabe' sort for a long time. Mainly because of procrastination, complacency and fear. *sigh* I should get my ass moving..

There are times when caring, but doing nothing in particular, is the best you can manage - for example, I have a young child, one in the womb, and a full-time, demanding job, so i don't volunteer. It would overwhelm me. But I still make the time to read and think and be aware, because I can't do less than that and still be true to myself.

There are other times when doing so little could be a cop-out. Only you can make the decision for yourself which one is happening in your life.

Thank you for the links

I'm beginning to think that a few boxes of Plan B makes hell of a better gift than maple syrups, should I not be too much of a corward to head down south.

I just hope Target doesn't open anything up here - I couldn't support them while this was their policy.
