Baby blanket
Jul. 19th, 2004 10:05 amI finished the baby quilt I was making, using the old-fashioned method of taking it to my aunt's house and having her do the binding for me. Unfortunately, I finished it Saturday morning and the shower was Saturday afternoon, so I'm waiting on the recipient to send me a picture. On the plus side, I had my sewing machine tutorial, so I can start sewing at home now.
The mom-to-be at the shower got a really simple, hand-made, two-layer blanket for a gift. Apparently the woman who made it makes dozens of them and sells them through another lady who has a stall at summer festivals all over Southern Ontario. I'm thinking I should get her number and offer my services. It was a really easy project. The hardest part would be getting an even, matching curve on all four corners.
