I don't think so, though - at least, not in coastal areas.

Here's to hoping everything is done several hundred times better than it was with Katrina.

Police are advising parents to take photos of their kids before leaving, and either take them with them or post them somewhere accessible online. They're also being told to make each child a simple ID card in case the family gets separated.

It's a really good idea, but really, really scary.

I'm in Texas, but in the middle, not on the coast. We're getting an(other) influx of evacuees, but we're a little better prepared, I think, this time. It may come down to using the county Expo Center for some of the people though.
