Good morning good morning good morning!

It's time to rise and shine!
At least, for me. Elizabeth doesn't seem to agree. She's cuddly and dopey this morning.
I slept like the dead for a change, and woke up refreshed for the first time since Piet left. He gets back this afternoon at some point - yay! Tonight it will be HIS job to barricade a screaming toddler in her room and wait for her to sleep! I'll be downstairs crocheting!
I don't know exactly what we're going to do today. The laundry is piling up, as are the dirty dishes, because we've been out so much over the last four days. Both need to be dealt with. On the other hand, I rarely have a car - I should take advantage of it. Hmm.
When I got home from my mom's last night, the house smelled musty and stale. So I opened all the windows, figuring it wasn't hot enough to change the temperature dramatically in my house that way. I forgot to close them when we went to bed, so the house now smells clean, fresh, and cold. It was quite chilly last night.
I wrote a short (five-hundred-word) scene completely off the cuff, introducing a pod of deserters who think Cir and Pona are just more of the same. This is a twist I hadn't counted on. Now I'm going to have to figure out how to get them captured by the Duchesses of the Shallow Banks, without necessarily killing all their companions. Ah, plot twists. I could just cut out the scene, but I don't want to do that. I like this scene. Life would be easier if I stuck to plot outlines, but easy is boring. Give me twists and turns any day. Just not too many bumps. I can do without bumps.
I'm going down to make some toast for the little lady, take my vitamins, and eat the last slice of leftover pizza from Friday. It was very good pizza - chicken, tomato, and feta cheese. Try it sometime.
