Elizabeth at the Cactus Festival
Aug. 20th, 2005 07:41 pmWell, Elizabeth was fascinated by Dil. She petted him. She held him. She giggled with intense amusement when he sat in her stroller, and she played hide-and-seek with him when he burrowed under the padded seat cover of the stroller.
On the way home, she played with her My LIttle Pony. She had a new name, though.
Her Pony is now Ferret-pony, and she was digging in Elizabeth's dress and playing in the poussette (stroller), at least to hear Elizabeth talk about it. Ferret-pony was also told a few dozen times the story of the Itsy Bitzy Spider. Elizabeth knows all the words for that song, except the very last one. She sings the last line the same as she sings the first, so it turns into a song that never ends because of course, after the spider climbs up the water spout, the rain has to come again and wash him out, over and over again. Well, she was telling the ferret-pony, "The rain washed the 'pider out, ferret-pony! Out came the sun and dried up all the rain, ferret! Sing wit' me, ferret-pony!" Then she launched into it again.
Pictures to follow of an inquisitive toddler and an equally inquisitive ferret, as soon as
