Okay, here's the thing.

I have a huge number of cloth diapers in my basement, and the strong probability that I will never use them (other than a few prefolds as dusting cloths.) Even if I have another baby, I know how to make/acquire a stash quite cheaply, and storing these things seems really silly.

However, I spent nearly three hundred dollars on them in the space of a few months, and I don't want to simply freecycle them. I also don't want to have to ship them anywhere. I believe that leaves me with Craigslist.

So, someone tell me about Craigslist, because I've never sold or bought through it before. Do I need to take pictures? Should I divide the stash into saleable segments first? Can I sell stained diapers? Is there a bargaining process or do I just list my price? I want these things gone within a week, which is when the Christmas stuff comes out.

Elizabeth came in from Sunday School just now with a paper plate whale. (A triangle was cut out of it and attached to the other end for a tail, leaving the rest as the body.) There was a man drawn in the middle of the plate, looking rather like Humpty Dumpty in Sesame Street skits.

Me: Who's that in the middle?
Elizabeth: That's Jonah! (pointing) There's the man, there's the man, and there's his legs. (In a confiding tone) He has a wedgie.

I think perhaps Elizabeth's tights are too tight.
