Welcome New Friends!
May. 15th, 2005 08:32 amAnd anyone else still thinking about it. The mixer was a great party. We had virtual beer at
dagoski's, homemade baked goodies at
jinzi's, falafel and pizza somewhere - I kind of lost track.
I have a very wet, very sleepy toddler on my lap, gently do-doing along to her inner melody. She has a lot of those. You will be hearing quite a lot about Elizabeth. For background information: she's 25 months old, she speaks more English than French but understands both because I speak French with her, she is creative and highly verbal, and she is the cutest toddler ever to grace my life. I'm hoping to give her a younger sibling soon (as in, next spring some time.)
Other characters in my life include:
pyat, my husband. He's a wonderful, gentle man and the love of my life.
A wide variety of lj friends with whom I play roleplaying games. At least, that's the genesis of many of the friendships. Most have evolved into deeper friendships.
sassy_fae will be marrying
etherlad in less than two weeks, and my daughter and I are both in the wedding. References to vast amounts of crocheted lace are designed to drive
sassy_fae to distraction - it's part of her wedding present, and she doesn't know what I'm making yet.
My journal includes the occasional Post of Actual Content, PoAC for short, usually about either education or religion, though I've done at least one about politics. I spend a lot of time ranting about school. The cast of characters at school is long. You'll figure them out as I go along. Only 33 more school days until the end of the year!
I have to go, Elizabeth needs a bath. If you want to see pictures, they're here: http://pics.livejournal.com/velvetpage/
