Musings on potential drama averted

Well.

I had no idea when I posted on Saturday that my post would spark two potentially dramatic comments. Both have been, not only averted, but turned into positives. I'm grateful for that, and for the way two old friends seem to be reconnecting through me. There will be no nastiness, and new understandings have been reached.

I'm going to make another comparison.

Roles

Over the course of this day, I have been friend, confidante, mother, jungle-gym, hairdressing subject, hairdresser, wardrobe co-ordinator, playmate, former teacher, wife, writer, creative collaborator, language instructor, lullaby crooner, and probably one or two other things I'm forgetting right now.

It's been a good day.

Tomorrow I'll be a teacher again, with all the roles implied by that.

Right now, I have every intention of being a dreamer. With the help of the sun and the wind and a certain little girl who occupies my thoughts even when she's nowhere about, I expect them to be good dreams.
