My roomie laragoth has very healthy skin and follows this regime twice a day:
1. Wash hands 2. Wash face with a foaming cleanser 3. Apply toner 4. Apply moisturizer- even to oily skin. Dry skin is what makes the oil so bad.
-Use non-pore-clogging cosmetics in moderation -Avoid touching your face. -Avoid popping zits if possible. You can break capillaries, which will eventually result in purplish scarring.
If you have a zit that you need to cover, you will need the following two things: A green stick (they come in cream and liquid...I prefer the cream) and a concealer. Make a tiny dot of the green stick on the zit and blend with concealer. The green will cancel out the red.
If your acne is the result of hormones, check with your doctor about the use of birth control pills to help regulate them.
I've done all this, and do most of it (minus the pills - never going that route again!) There are still times when the results are baaaaaad. This week has been one of them.
