For those who have attention for a wetter place than Arizona

From a friend of mine just outside the flood zone in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia:




Here's hoping they can stop playing the drinking game (take a drink every time the reporter says innundated, unprecedented, over-capacity, if he's standing in water while he says it - you get the idea) not because they've run out of alcohol or drunk themselves into a stupor, but because the flood waters have receded.

I swear, if I had tried that game, I'd have been hammered in 30 mins.

The water is about 2-3 feet down from where it was when it peaked on the river, so that is a good sign.

Sadly, the dam is still having to release water regularly, so the threat is far from over.
