Usual monday stuff
Feb. 28th, 2005 07:39 amApparently, there's going to be a snowstorm this afternoon. Between now and tomorrow evening, we're supposed to get about 30 cm of snow. This is supposed to begin mid-afternoon today.
I hope two things happen. First, I hope the snow is delayed by several hours - say, until about midnight, maybe one a.m. Second, I hope it's really fast, heavy snowfall all night. If those two things happen, I'll have a snow day tomorrow.
The downside is that probably, if I have one, so will Elizabeth and Piet. The daycare is usually closed if the school it is attached to is closed, and Piet won't be able to get into work if the snow is that bad. So the computer will be in use and I will have baby care to do. Still, it means I could use nap time to catch up on marking and evening to finish my reports.
I'm not counting on any of this, though. More likely, we will get significant snow this evening, so I'll have to cancel dinner at my mother's and Piet won't get home until nine or ten. Then it will be nicely cleared away in time for the buses to run tomorrow.
Ten more school days until march break. But who's counting?
