I can't believe I never discovered NPR before. Thanks, Twitter!

Anyway, the next find of the night: Vampire Weekend's new album, Contra. Enjoy. I've been bopping along to it for half an hour now.

NPR is wonderful. I listen to it all day at work.

Thanks for posting the link to that music. They played "Horchata" on the announcements earlier in the week and I felt like a groundhog poking my head up, ears pointed towards the screen, going "Huh? What's that?" It's really interesting music. The lyrics are bizarre, though! :)

I was tuning out the lyrics the first time through - the harmonics, the rhythm, and the effects kept my ears busy enough. :)

Vampire weekend reminds me a lot of a local Ann Arbor band I didn't discover til after I left the area. A concert billing of them and Talley Hall (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoGuoXuLmsk) would be awesome.

I love Talley Hall! we bop along in the car to "Banana Man" all the time. And yes, that's part of the reason I liked Vampire Weekend - the rhythms are very similar.
