Nine years ago today

Was an extremely hot day. Like, thirty-eight degrees in the shade; just over forty in the sunlight. (I believe that translates to about 105 degrees farenheit?) And it was sticky humid.
I know all this, because it was my wedding day. Fortunately for the state of my dress, we only had to manage the pictures outside - everything else was air-conditioned.
I married a wonderful man, and he's been a good husband and a good father to our daughters. He's well-named - solid as a rock, a foundation on which this family is built.
I love you, Piet. Happy Anniversary.

Date: 2008-06-26 10:31 pm (UTC)Of course, if she's able to knit so well, I bet she's got the skills to do some sort of work at home job, but for something like knitting, it's better to do because she loves to. She should have something on her page for all the people who volunteer to knit for her that she's declined! She points them to the ASPCA donation page that they're contributing to, but she could have the knitters make things like preemie caps and toques for the homeless to "give" her as wedding gifts!
(Can you tell I've snuck a little caffeine today? Don't tell my doctor!)

Date: 2008-06-26 10:29 pm (UTC)We heard that on satellite radio while we were in California. I made Piet turn up the volume so Elizabeth and I could sing along. :)

Date: 2008-06-27 01:09 am (UTC)Not the best anniversary for me. I spent most of it on a pplane, and Hubby is onw at the shore with the kids and his folks. Fortunately, the night's not over yet. ;)
Happy anniversary!
