I've created a (shoes and socks) monster

Elizabeth was running away without socks on. She had a clean diaper, jeans, an undershirt, and a brand-new t-shirt that was a Christmas gift, but she didn't want socks. So I picked up Snowman and said, "On met des chaussettes à Snowman?"
Elizabeth, of course, was tickled all pink by this idea. I had to tell her that first we would put socks on her, then on Snowman. She consented to being socked, then held out Snowman. "Chaussettes Snowman?" she asked. "Oui, on met des chaussettes à Snowman," I told her. Within moments Snowman was wearing socks that have been too small for Elizabeth for a while now.
With Snowman appropriately dressed, it was Piglet's turn. Then Tigger's. At this point in time, every stuffed animal in her bedroom is wearing mismatched "chaussettes." Several are also wearing shoes. "Shoes snowman? Shoes snowman?"
