The party, that is.

I've been puking up my guts since 4:00 a.m., and it shows no particular signs of stopping. Before that, I was taking care of a feverish baby for several hours until the Advil took effect and put her to sleep. Bottom line: I'm wiped.

I'm so sorry, everyone. I really, really wanted to have this party. But it wouldn't be much fun if I spent the whole evening in the bathroom.

I'm sort of wondering if it's going to last until Monday. that would almost make it worthwhile, to be home the first day back to school.

Today I'm going to hang out by the computer and not stray too far from the bathroom. And I'm going to wish I was having a New Year's party tonight. :(

Hang in there, kid! Gravol, flat gingerale, and lots of rest for the lot of you!

The gravol last night did pretty much nothing. I threw up again an hour and a half later. I've been doing the apple-juice-and-water thing, with tiny, tiny sips. I think I actually have ginger ale downstairs - I was going to put it in the punch tonight. Good thought.

I've been asleep since the baby left at 9:30, and I could easily sleep the rest of the day away.

Much sympathy! Get all the icky stuff out of the way right now, and have only good stuff for 2005, OK?

It's the worst time of year to be sick, best wishes for a fast recovery!
If you like, we could have a bit of a party once you're feeling better.
We could celebrate.. Martin luther King day? Epiphany? Imbolc? :D For now though, rest and get better!

Isn't Epiphany next Friday? :) And what the neck is Imbolc?

We're going to have to do something when I'm better. I have a whole bottle of cherry brandy downstairs that I've been saving against tonight. I'll have to drink it SOMETIME. :)

Imbolc is a winter celebration...celebrated on 1st Feb.

I would suggest leaving the cherry b for a while likewise the apple juice. Puke is acidic enough *shudder*

Apple juice is full of electrolytes, which is what someone needs when they're starting to get dehydrated. It's actually as good for replacing electrolytes as those drinks they sell at the pharmacy for moms to give their toddlers. But I switched to ginger ale a while ago, at least for now. It's got lots of sugar in it, so maybe some of this headache will go away as the blood sugar comes up. It's worth a try, anyway.

Indeedy! Epiphany is next Sunday night, and Imbolc is the last Saturday of the month. Any old excuse for a party :)

Well, most of the stuff I've got will last until next Friday, so when we have the gaming group over, we can indulge.
