Our pastor did a brief two-minute thing about the history of Thanksgiving in North America. Apparently, the first harvest festival called Thanksgiving was celebrated in Newfoundland on November 6th, 1578, by a British explorer by the name of Frobisher. The pastor, a Newfie, pointed out: "We had it first!"
