The evaluation went well. Her only concern is my planning book, which I could have predicted. Basically, I fly by the seat of my pants too often for comfort. If I get sick suddenly, I'm in trouble. But the class was good, my problem kids thought the principal was there to watch THEM so they were on their best behaviour, and the lesson turned out to be one even my less-able students could handle and participate in. I got participation from kids who have never put up their hands before. It was really nice.
Thank God it's Monday, though. Literacy class is basically a spelling pre-test, time to work on exercises, and one guided reading group. Nothing that requires much in the way of planning.
I'm going to eat a granola bar before heading out into the snow on duty.
