New Resolution
Jan. 4th, 2008 02:37 pmI just made a new resolution.
I am no longer going to click on any headline that has the name of a celebrity in it. I don't want to add to the hit count of any celebrity interest story that has jackals with cameras chasing benighted stars to and from court/hospital/rehab/wherever. I want to start sending the message that we, as a society, have no business knowing so many things about celebrities' private lives, and that I don't care to know. I'm not going to buy or read celebrity magazines or tabloids, and I'm not going to read the celebrity section of my newspaper. Insofar as such a thing is possible, I'm going to endeavour never to inform myself about the lives of celebrities at all, beyond their actual work.
Who will join me in my simple crusade to kick these people out of the news?
