Restitution
Aug. 10th, 2007 07:59 amI was going through my bookmarks, and came across one I haven't seen in several years. It's about a method of teaching behaviour and social skills using real restitution. I just read through it, and I like the look of it. Has anyone here done this?
My school has been looking for a social skills program, and I have a philosophical difference with most of the systems proposed: they're all based on a rewards/consequence model, and I don't like that - first because it's teacher-intensive and second because kids behave to get the reward or avoid the consequence, not because it's the right thing to do.
