Another epoch of childhood
Oct. 19th, 2005 06:35 pmI just went through Elizabeth's drawers, pulled out everything that was a size two or smaller with the exception of a few pairs of pants, and threw it onto her chair. Then I went into the lowest drawer, the one reserved for stuff she hasn't quite grown into yet. It was full of size 3T stuff.
That 3T stuff is now in her main drawers, folded, organized, tags removed, waiting to be worn.
At least she will no longer flash her bellybutton at everyone she meets. Her 2T stuff is all too small through the midriff, though it fits well everywhere else. She's such a long kid - at least two inches taller than the average child her age. That makes her a good three inches taller than the smallest JK at my school, who is about a year and a half older than her.
Fortunately, most of her cute 2T jeans still fit. I can't afford to replace them right now, so that's a good thing. I just hope she doesn't go through any more growth spurts between now and Christmas. I can't afford to move up to 3X or 4T yet!
