Sunday afternoon. . .
Oct. 2nd, 2005 04:34 pmI slept most of the afternoon, from about noon with one interruption until four. I was just dozing most of that time, but it still did me good. We'll find out later if I'm able to sleep at night after that long a nap.
Elizabeth, for the second day in a row, did not sleep. We're kind of hoping she'll go to bed a bit early tonight as a result. I'm going to have to ask Aunty Heather to stick to the same sleep routines as we have when she's here. When she babysat on Friday, she slept on the floor of Elizabeth's room during the nap, and Elizabeth now wants us to sleep on the floor with her and is quite unimpressed when we won't. It highlights the value of routine, anyway.
We're off to my mom's for an early Thanksgiving dinner. She's working next week, and there's always too many dinners to fit in over one weekend, so this is the solution. I like it, and I hope she's willing to share some leftovers, especially a few bones for stock and some meat for stew. Mmm, turkey stew. Good stuff.
We have to go over and buy cranberry sauce on our way, so we're leaving now. Happy sunday everyone!
