This will teach me.
Jul. 24th, 2005 11:10 amElizabeth is at church with Aunty Krista. After church, she will be going back to Oma's house, where she will nap and play and enjoy herself until eight o'clock, when we are supposed to pick her up.
Or so she thinks.
During that time, Piet and I will be heading to Niagara-on-the-Lake, taking in a matinee show of Major Barbara at the Shaw Festival. Then we will have dinner and come home to pick up Elizabeth.
Or so I thought.
Piet just checked the receipt for the tickets, which of course he purchased online. It reads 8:00 show. Not 2:00.

sassy_fae's wedding, I've done my make-up and blow-dried my hair, all in anticipation of leaving for Niagara forthwith. Now I find out that the show is supposed to start around the time we were expected to pick up the little lady from Oma's house. I have no idea if Oma or Aunt Krista have plans for this evening. I would imagine Oma would like to hit the sack early and sleep - she's had a rough couple of weeks. But we're going to be out until 11:00, or thereabouts.
This will teach me to check the receipt and write dates and times on the calendar. Hopefully it will teach my husband the same thing. He says he clicked on a 2:00 showing, but he never actually read the receipt until ten minutes ago.
