Elizabeth was sick twice last night, and neither time was preceded by any crying, so it's the real thing. She wasn't sick anymore after that, though we had an elephant emergency just before five o'clock. "Where Lumpy, Mommy? I don't know! Where Lumpy?" I found Lumpy for her (under her blankets, his paws still wet from having stuff washed off of him in the sink) and she went back to sleep.
The last time Elizabeth was sick on a Tuesday, I took the day off. This time, it's Piet's turn. Though I would love to stay home, there's a system meeting for one of my kids and I need to be at it. So I'm here.
Why does she always get sick on a Monday night? This is twice in a month.
I doubt it's food poisoning, because no one else is sick. I'm going to check the yogurt when I get home, though. THat's the only she ate that nobody else did, so even if it's a brand-new tub, I have to check it. If it's not that, then it's probably just a bug and she'll be over it in a day or so.
I really wish it were going to be an easy day, but it's not.
Ug.
