It's a nice afternoon.

Warm. Not sunny, but not precisely cloudy either - just not quite sure. The buds are out on the trees. They may have beem out before, but I didn't notice them until just now, looking out the window.

And what am I doing?

I'm sitting in ratty sweats with a baby quilt covering my legs, playing Java Settlers on the computer, watching avidly for the first sign that anyone is emailing me, drinking cherry-brandy-laced coke, and rereading my favourite romance novel for the upteenth time, because I can't seem to get any energy to actually do anything.

At least the brandy is helping my head feel better and my throat less constricted.

I haven't written anything on either book for about two weeks now. I'm not worried about it yet, but give it another week and I will be. I can take short breaks of a week or two from my writing, and it's about life getting in the way. Longer than two weeks, and I'll start to worry myself. I can't lose my writing again, having found it at last.

The comments on the meme have been interesting. "As others see us" can be dangerous. It seems many of you see me in much the way I see myself, which is good, I think.
