Two more days . . .
Mar. 31st, 2005 07:35 amWell, I get extra prep time today because of the dance-a-thon, which starts after my regular prep time and doesn't require supervision by the entire staff. This is good.
I'm on duty for treats tomorrow, and come hell or high water, I have to work out tonight. So things are going to be rather busy after Piet gets home.
I'm going to buy a bus pass for April, because there are no holidays or other times when I'm likely to have a car available. The pass is only worth it if I'm making at least nine trips a week on the bus. I will be, this month.
I'm still waiting for the school board to reimburse me nearly two hundred dollars for my home-reading-program expenditures. The money has come out of my account already, but they're taking their sweet time about the cheque. I don't understand why my secretary couldn't have taken it out of petty cash, then put the money from the board into petty cash when it arrived. Isn't that the purpose of a petty cash fund? But the principal said no, so I wait and hope I'll have enough money to manage until the cheque arrives. Argh.
Elizabeth woke up around 5:00 a.m. this morning, crying what sounded like, "My ear! My ear!" Due to recent issues in the lives of some friends, I'm more paranoid about ear infections than I might otherwise be, but I couldn't figure out why she was discovering this at 5:00 a.m. After a few minutes more of this, Piet got up, went into the bathroom, and came back with her smallest Eeyore toy. She laid right down, pulled the blanket up, snuggled with Eeyore, and went back to sleep.
