You take care of me when I'm sick and when I'm well.

You take more than your fair share of chores so I can write or just blog.

You look after the sprout while I play computer games.

You pay me compliments and call me beautiful.

You look for the best in me, and you find it. I can be my best or worst self with you, without fear.

You teach me your hobbies.

We've built a life together, created a new life together, and will continue to build and create more. For all you are and all you do, I love you, Piet.

Hello
Erin I didn't get a chance to tell you all about Elizabeth's day today.
I need a copy for my journal so I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone and send you a copy too. ( and everyone else)
The day started out with me wrapping a boa scarf around Elizabeth's neck. It had been given to Krista and is a fuzzy, furry scarf. It is white with brown fuzzy ends. Not very pretty.
Elizabeth came into the kitchen to declare" Oma I'm a horsey!"
That sort of set the tone for the day.
At one point we had on cowboy hats and were sitting either end of the couch on the arms riding our horses. I am sure the "NEIGH"bours wonder about the goings on in my house.
Since it was a miserable rainy day I suggested we make some valentine cookies. Elizabeth's response was to run to the kitchen shouting" Bizzies apron" while pushing her chair up to the counter. The master baker was ready to bake.
She held the mix master, tasted the dough, poured in the oatmeal and pat everything down. She then decided to wash the dishes. She can reach the tap now and today we discovered the she can also push the button on the tap that changes it to a spray nozzle. After we wiped up the floor and the counter and the cookbook. We continued. No cookie dough was hurt in the making of this mess. (:
Now it was time to put a teaspoon of dough on the cookie sheet, make a dent in it and put some jam in it. She is very good at making dents with her finger. Putting the jam in the dent is another story. Somehow Belle got jam on her back. She sits under Elizabeth's chair while we cook. Lots of things get dropped so it is a very advantageous spot to sit.
Well the cookies eventually got baked and the dishes done. Elizabeth declared the cookies to be Yummy. Since it was such a nasty day we discussed the possibility of giving some cookies to the post lady.
Elizabeth put some in a baggie and we watched out the window for her to come. Then we went out on the front porch and wished her a Happy Valentines day. She was thrilled and Elizabeth gave her a special smile.
Back at the ranch later in the day. Elizabeth and Belle had a tug of war over the horsey scarf. Belle seemed to think it was her toy so she was pulling one end and Elizabeth had the other yelling "My horsey, Belle, My horsey!"
And so as the sun set in the west I will leave you with these words.
Happy Trail to you Until we met again........

I just created a file with that as the title. As the name implies, it contains the entire book to date.

It has 158 pages. That is, Word pages, which are half again as big as the pages in a paperback.

I need to stop patting myself on the back and actually get some work done on the next chapter tomorrow.

Meanwhile, though, I emailed the whole book to [livejournal.com profile] normanrafferty.
