The way things are
Feb. 4th, 2005 07:42 amAt ten o'clock last night, I was winding down for bed. I had changed into my flannel pj's (it's February in Canada, after all) and had swung my feet onto the bed, preparatory to taking off my socks, when I actually caught a good look at my feet.
On the right foot was a pale blue sock with large puppies on it.
On the left foot was a dark blue sock with small kittens on it.
I had gone all day like that, changing from boots to shoes at least three times and vice-versa, and wearing sock feet all over the house since I got home at five.
This will teach me to get dressed in the dark. I really need to replace that bedroom lamp.
In other news, the bus I should have caught at about seven o'clock never came. I missed the 7:53 - I was standing on the opposite side of Main St., waving frantically at it as it rushed by a minute early. The next bus to come was at 7:13. So I was fifteen minutes later than usual for work. It's a good thing it's not too cold out today.
Things to look forward to: card games with my kids, the final readers' theatre presentation, an afternoon playing with my daughter, and of course the good friends/good food/good times combination this evening. The thought of this evening's get-together has once again kept me going all week, with smiles every time I think of
ruiskafleck's rogue assassin and some plans we've made.
Now I have work to do. Specifically, social studies photocopying for the grade 4's.
