The house smells yummy tonight. My sister-in-law gave me a little tin of Herbes de Provence that she got as a Christmas gift from a patient, thinking I'd like it. I do. It gives just enough flavour to veggies, and it's going to be great with steak, mushroom and red pepper tomorrow. Also, it leaves the house smelling yummy. I think it's the lavendar. I would never have thought of using that in cooking, but wow - it's so nice! I've got the best-of-the-linen-closet scents happening in my kitchen.
I worked out just now for the first time in two weeks. I'm feeling stretched just to the edge of my comfort zone - not beyond it, which I was a bit afraid of. Two weeks is a long time. Still, thanks to that lovely Norwalk virus, I'm actually two pounds lighter than I was before Christmas. Fancy that. Now if I can get back some of the muscle tone that's been abandoning me since I stopped my thrice-weekly workouts, all will be well.
The response to my PoAC was huge - I think we're now at forty comments. Pretty much all of them are of the liberal variety, several even more liberal than myself. I was kind of hoping for some real disagreement, but I suppose in that environment it would be hard to do.
I think I'm going to actually try to write a little bit. I should try to mark a little bit, but those math journals have waited this long - they can wait a bit longer. With my lessons nicely planned for the week, right down to typed notes for my grade 5 social studies (the characteristics of Mesopotamian herding/farmer communities versus city states) I will have more time to mark this week than usual.
Right, then. Better get to it.
Oh, and welcome,
