Well.
Any rudeness or feuding from my kids today will be squashed like a bug. There are two who, if they so much as roll their eyes at me, will go home for at least a day.
My DRA's are nearly done - one more kid has to read to me, and two have to finish the written portion. The marking of said DRA's will take an hour or so out of my weekend - no big deal.
Elizabeth and I are going to play "Let's all sweep the dining room!" tonight. She enjoys her version of that game. I enjoy the look when I've finished.
rainwolf is coming over a bit before everyone else tonight so we can do something I've truthfully never done - jamming. In the course of my music lessons, I managed to miss most advanced chord theory and practically all the harmony I would need to go much farther on the piano than I have. He's going to show me. It's been a long time since I did anything like that around a piano, and when I did it, it usually involved my sister playing and both of us singing. We made beautiful music together(still do, occasionally) but neither of us learned much out of it. I'm looking forward to this.
After that (
etherlad, any idea how much later?)
etherlad and
sassy_fae are coming over for our first really good episode of Trinity. I'm looking forward to that, too.
So, seven and a half hours of squashing recalcitrant ten-year-olds, followed by a convivial evening of music and gaming. I can handle this.
