I'm sitting in a computer room full of grade 2 students. The programs used by seven-year-olds are invariably noisy. They're made to be interactive on all levels. So I'm battling a headache to use up some of this lovely extra prep time I've got today. I'm starting to think it wasn't worth it to come in here.

You see, I used last Friday's P.A. day to plan many things for this week much more thoroughly than I usually do. Since I wasn't here yesterday, I don't have the marking I would normally have to do at this time. Consequently, I can't make full use of the prep time. This is a shame, because in a few weeks, I'll be dying for a few extra minutes to do report card stuff and testing of reading levels.

In other news, my father has decided to have his Thanksgiving dinner on Friday night at about 7:00. I say "about", because my aunt and uncle, who are invited, are usually an hour or more late for family events. Upside: I haven't seen all my family together in months. Aunt Jeanne is pining away for the opportunity to see Elizabeth, who is the closest she'll ever get to a granddaughter (they never had kids, though not for lack of trying.) Downside: our Ironclaw game must be postponed AGAIN this week. As usual, my father has made his decision at nearly the last minute. Still, this is more notice than we had the last two times he arranged a family dinner. I think my sister had something to do with the three days' notice; she hates finding stuff out too late to change her work schedule, and that happens a lot.

Ironclaw people: what are the chances of getting together Saturday afternoon or evening? Please, please let's manage to arrange this!! I'm dying for some good gaming!!
