Back to school
Sep. 6th, 2004 08:01 pmMy lunch bag is packed. Two bottles of water are next to it in
the fridge. My Curves tote bag has my workout clothes, my
planning book, my agenda, my wallet and my keys in it. My wallet
has my bus pass in it. My clothes for tomorrow are laid out ready
for me, so I won't have to wake Pyat up to decide what to wear.
My alarm clock is set for 5:45. I even painted my nails to match
the top I'll be wearing.
There's an entire conservatory's worth of butterflies dancing Swan Lake in my stomach.
The tone for the entire year will be set tomorrow. The first fifteen minutes are crucial, and they'll start at 8:15.
Every first day of school is like this. There really is no such thing as enough preparation.
Here's to hoping the baby sleeps well tonight, so I have some hope of sleeping well tonight.
