I've tried that before, but I found it sticky and annoying. It's also really expensive for daily use. I used to have a plant around, and it was great for little burns, but I didn't like using it for anything else.
I think I have some aloe vera lotion around, in a cupboard from last summer. I avoid the sun as much as i can (I'm a fair blonde, and I never tan - I go from white to red to white again.) I may dig it out.
