I don't think any religious organization should be forced to do anything they aren't comfortable with. That's part of what the separation of church and state in America is supposed to mean.
Now, on a personal note, I think that gays can have marriage as an institution. Civil unions seem more sensible to me for everyone, but if gays, lesbians, transgendered individuals, etc, would like to have marriage as an option, you know that I think they should have that right. Give it over to them. Heaven knows heterosexuals suck at it.
