velvetpage: (drama)

Drama.

After the day I've had, I wouldn't be surprised if I decided to avoid drama by crocheting - only to have the yarn yell at me.

*sigh* There has been a minor cleaning up of the friends list. It was mostly a few sock-puppet journals that weren't being updated anymore, one that was that I wasn't finding time to read, a community or two that were pretty much dead, one or two people whose lives I never got into and who never commented in my journal, and one person who could have been a friend, if she hadn't decided to act like a spoiled child instead.

Debate: do I leave the post open, thereby potentially creating drama, or do I lock it and let other people tell her what I've said about her? Open - I have no desire to be passive-aggressive this evening. It's not like my opinion is a secret at this point.

My crochet hook is calling me. It's probably going to tell on the yarn for unraveling all over the couch.

Leaving it open is guaranteed to make everyone go scurrying off to your user info to see if they have been cut. :)

hehe

exactly! I'd suggest a simple direct confrontation with the person. There might still be a chance to patch things up. But what do I know - I've been trying to patch things up with the "biomom" for 26 years. Sometimes you just need to let people go.

I did the e-mail confrontation already. Like I said, the passive-aggressive thing isn't doing it for me.

The person in question already knew she'd been cut, and had already cut me. I probably should have mentioned that in the post. :)

man...

I almost thought that it was me lol. I actually checked out your profile page to make sure it wasn't. I get antsy when I've had a bunch of drama in my life - was taught it's best to hold it in with some people. Anyway, I definitely know what it's like having one really hellacious day (or, really hellacious couple-a weeks). If the yarn tries to yell at you, tie it in knots. If you've got a real good crochet chain going, ask it simply not to yank your chain. ::groans::

Hope you have a much more easy day tomorrow. There's always ice cream!

I appreciate your candour. I hope everything is well now. Take care.

I'm not entirely sure that there is a way to "unfriend" in LJ without coming across as dramatic and rude. I think that's why some people abandon their journals and start new ones. I find it all very strange...

Im a blonde

Despite looking at a locked post just previous to this of yours, I got all angsty and went to your info page to make sure it was not me.

Soon an anvil is going to drop out of the sky and take me out... any minute now.

Me too. Also blonde.

At least we're pretty. ;)

I must have missed the drama

The yarn didn't yell at me after all. :) The drama wasn't in lj, though it was about it.

Wonderful! What are you working on currently?

The drama wasn't in lj, though it was about it.

Now I understand! Sometimes my brain is fuzzy and I miss things (or think I do).

A poncho for Elizabeth, out of some lovely hand-dyed merino from [livejournal.com profile] yarny_bits. I love that stuff.
